General Practice Gold Coast is working closely with Bond University and Griffith University to facilitate clinical placements for medical students in general practice.
The allocation of students to general practice is very flexible; GPs currently involved in supervising medical students on clinical placement may offer a placement to a student all year whilst others may offer a placement for one term of either four, seven or eight weeks. Both Bond and Griffith University provide GPs with information to assist with clinical placements such as GP handbooks that outline the MBBS course and the student experience to date, as well as learning outcomes and assessments for the placements.
