Attention GPs and Practice Managers - Urgent Message Regarding Referrals to the ATAPS Program 
 
General Practice Gold Coast is involved in Commonwealth and local Mental Health Initiatives and services including:
• The delivery of services under the Better Outcomes in Mental Health Care - Access to Allied Psychological Services (ATAPS) Program. This Program has three streams:
  ο ATAPS Mainstream Program:
  ο ATAPS Suicide and Self Harm Prevention (Rapid Response)  
  ο ATAPS Perinatal Depression Program 
  ο  ATAPS Child Mental Health Program

• Supporting GPs and Practices to refer non-eligible ATAPS clients to the Medicare Better Access Initiative   
• Developing Mental Health Clinical and Service Delivery Pathways   
• Supporting GPs in ongoing Mental Health Professional Development activities - The General Practice Mental Health Standards Collaboration   
• Collaborating with other Mental Health Providers/Organisations such as:   
  ο  headspace Gold Coast 
  ο  Heads-Up Consortia 
  ο  Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service - Acute Community Services
  ο  Queensland Health; and 
  ο  General Practice Queensland
