General Practice Gold Coast is involved in many Commonwealth and local mental health initiatives and services including:

• The delivery of services under the Better Outcomes - Access to Allied Psychological Services (ATAPS) program. This program has three streams, they are available until December 2009:
  • General ATAPS program
  • Suicide and Self Harm Services - Rapid Response Program; a demonstration project
  • National Perinatal Depression Initiative
• Supporting GPs and practices referring to the Better Access Initiative - the Medicare Psychological Services
• Developing Mental Health Clinical and Service Delivery Pathways
• Supporting GPs in ongoing mental health professional development activities - The General Practice Mental Health Standards Collaboration
• Collaborating with other Mental Health Providers / Organisations such as:
  • headspace Gold Coast
  • Heads-up Stage 2 Consortia
  • Gold Coast District Acute and Community Services
